How do we avoid kitchen accidents this season?
1. Always use a chopping board to cut, never use a blunt knife.
2. Clean up spills immediately – wet floors are very slippery when wet.
3. Keep young children out of the kitchen while cooking.
Never leave cooking foods unattended.
4. Store cleaning supplies and all chemicals in a safe place, far away from food.
5. Turn pot handles away from the front of the stove.
To avoid oven heat rush, put your face away from the oven while opening its door.
6. Ensure you have a fire extinguisher around the kitchen. Also keep handy a jar of baking soda, it can be helpful incase of fire.
